DOA & Warranty Return Policy
SED International's "Dead On Arrival Policy": Products which are defective or inoperable at first use are eligible for a DOA return to SED International up to 30 days from the date of the invoice, if the manufacturer allows returns through SED. Some products are covered for longer periods. Subject to the manufacturers' warranty, SED International will replace the defective product if it is returned with in the 30-day period.

Under Warranty Repairs: Most defective products still under the manufacturer's warranty may be returned to SED International for credit or replacement. After the SED warranty period, any remaining warranties must be handled directly with the manufacturer. If a manufacturer's return policy differs from ours, or if the manufacturer changes their policy, SED International must abide by the current policy.

Returning a Defective Product
You must get an RA Number from Customer Service before returning merchandise. Items must be returned in the original box with all cables, manuals and other components included.


Return Authorization Procedures
1. You must either call Customer Service, Fax the Return Authorization Form to SED International or complete the form online to get an RA Number.

  • Your Company's Name
  • SED International Customer Number
  • Product/Manufacturer/Model
  • Specific Explanation of the Problem
  • SED Invoice Number and Date
  • Serial Number
2. Returns on defective merchandise are for replacement or credit. Credit will be issued at purchase price or market value at time of return receipt, whichever is lower. If the product is unavailable, you will be issued credit. Credit cannot be deducted from an SED International invoice until the credit memo is applied to your account. THERE ARE NO CASH REFUNDS. Credit memos are issued against future purchases on returns meeting our requirements.

3. Ship the defective equipment and all accessories prepaid to SED International. RA's will remain open for 20 days from date of issuance.. Equipment must be returned in the original box - DO NOT WRITE ON THE BOX.

RA's are valid only for 20 days. The RA number must be prominently displayed on the shipping label of all boxes containing returned merchandise. Returned merchandise must be shipped prepaid in the original boxes with the original packing materials. All manuals, cables and other accessories originally shipped must be included;or item will be refused.

Any merchandise received "Dead on Arrival" must be reported within 30 days of the invoice/order date. Any merchandise received without an RA number will be refused. RA's over $1,000 in value or that were shipped from a warehouse location OTHER THAN THOSE LISTED ABOVE may require extra processing time.

4. SED International makes no express or implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We make no warranty for any application of a product or its compatibility to another product. Please consult the manufacturer regarding compatibility or fitness for a particular use. Furthermore, SED International is not responsible for your customers' acceptance or approval of a product.
