SED offers drop-shipping to your customers. Simply fax us confirmation of you drop shipment on company letterhead, which will be kept on file at our corporate facility. Or for your convenience, you may enter the information electronically online.
Shipping Damage or Lost Shipments
Unlike many companies, SED International takes responsibility for damage so that you do not have to settle a claim directly with the freight company. SED International will issue full credit upon written verification from the carrier that the package is damaged.
When you receive a shipment, please inspect the boxes carefully for damage and note any problems on the waybill before you sign it. If there is damage, call the SED International Claims Department immediately at 800.444.8962 ext. 1626. Do not throw away the box or any packing material.
A common problem with electronic and computer equipment is "concealed damage", where the equipment is damaged but there is no visible problem with the outside of the box. We do issue credit for concealed damage discovered within 7 days of receipt of equipment. Call the Claims Department for more information.
This occurs when the manufacturer has packaged product but it does not contain the amount indicated upon opening. This is normally limited to master cartons, missing whole or partial quantities. Concealed shortage claims must be filed within 2 days of receipt of goods. Claims will be investigated by SED International by comparing shipment weights to anticipated weights of the product and packing materials. SED International has a database that includes weights of each and master cartons for all skus. Your claim may be denied if SED International cannot verify a concealed shortage existed.
If your package does not show up when scheduled and appears to be lost, please call your SED International sales representative who will have the package traced for you.
