 Biography
Samuel Kidston, Chairman of the Board.
Sam is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has been an independent member of SED’s Board since December 2008; in December 2009, he was elected Chairman of the Board. Sam is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of North & Webster, LLC, a Boston-based value investment management firm, where he manages client portfolios and is the primary investment decision maker for the firm. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Sport-Haley, Inc. (Pink Sheets: SPOR), a golf apparel company. Previously, he was an equity analyst for the small- and mid-cap value equity team at BlackRock, Inc., where he focused primarily on research and investing strategies in Financial Services and Energy companies. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. A member of the Boston Security Analyst Society, Sam received his Charter as a Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute.
